Chuck out days, eBay, garage and car boot sales, they all mean the same to me. Some of my favorite things have turned up in the most unlikely of places. As most might agree here in Sydney - if you leave a bit of old furniture on the kerb outside your home, someone will have have stopped and taken it before you've had a chance to go back inside - Now that's what i call recycling!
I'm not one to collect things for the sake of it, but if i like something, I'll keep it... and if i think someone else might like it more than me - then i'll sell it, and that's how i make my living.
Markets, Parramatta Rd junk stores, Car boot sales and hock shops, every one of them's a wealth of antiques and memorabilia. Half the old set from Farscape turned up on the Parramatta Road one year, a few years back - like bits of old spaceship made from paper mache and glad wrap.... I don't think they ever did sell any of the stuff.
